Welcome to Motoropolis Classic Car Galleria Museum. We are a blast from the past. We have over 40 classic cars on display, with hands-on activities and artifacts from 20th Century Maine, USA, and world history.
Yes, the focus is on classic cars. But we promise to be different. We will use old cars to "drive" a larger story about 20th century Maine and American history, with an emphasis on the pop culture experience.
We are so excited to be part of the revitalization of Biddeford's downtown historic district. Our museum will be housed in an 1881 mill building, wonderfully preserved and carefully restored.
We specialize in the curious, oddball, and mysterious. Our job will be to energize and challenge you with fantastic old cars, hands-on exhibits, treasure hunts, brain-teasers, and stuff you can build.
When we are able to open, we plan to welcome visitors Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm & Sunday 12pm-5pm at 12 Pearl Street, Biddeford, Maine 04005. (At the corner of Pearl & Stone streets, in a historic brick 1881 milll building.)
When we open the entrance fee will be $4.75 per person or $12 per family
School Field Trips and Special Group Tours will be available (up to occupancy limits) Please call 207.710.6699 to learn more about these upcoming educational programs.

More than ships and trains ever did, the automobile fueled Maine's 20th century economy as one of the nation's premier tourist destinations. The automobile, perhaps more than any other natural or man-made resource, transformed Maine's 20th century landscape and mind-set. Come explore the origins of our Vacationland with hands-on artifacts and unusual stories about the development of the tourist industry--our bedrock.
50th Anniversary of Camelot
1961-2011
The golden age of Camelot began 50 years ago,
when JFK was inaugurated as President in 1961.
Did you know there are cars with queen size beds inside? Climb in our sleeper cars and see for yourself. In the 1950s and 1960s, Nash & American Motors offered their unique motels on wheels. As Americans travelled more after the War, thrifty buyers could save on motel bills by sleeping in their cars. Trends like this helped make Maine the "Vacationland" destination that it is today, making it easier for more Americans and Canadians to vist.
